Your former members provide an exciting opportunity to market and re-market to on a consistent basis. You don’t want to over do it but I would suggest:

  1. You market to them twice a year, on the months when people are thinking about joining a club.
  2. When there is something new in the business: new equipment, new personal trainers, new class timetable, new services and definitely when you have new membership types!

Concept

Send a postcard to ex-members by printing a label on the right hand side of the postcard.

Offer

You can determine your own offer. Consider the reason why many people leave a gym is owing to time. So a trial period may work best to see if they can ‘fit’ coming into the club better now. The length of the free visit is up to you but ensure you have a sales strategy.
