Fernwood Learning was established in 2005 with the primary purpose of providing vocational education and training programs that deliver quality education and practical skills to service an ever increasing demand for health and fitness professionals in Fernwood Fitness and the health and fitness industry in general.

Fernwood Learning delivers practical workshops as part of their Certificate III and IV in Fitness qualifications. Workshops are run every three months in capital cities of eastern states (Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane). Due to the grow of the workshops trainers are required in each state.

Trainers are required to deliver our Group Exercise Workshops. These workshops will be delivered over 1 day (Saturday) every three months to new intakes. Instructors are required to teach Freestyle, Indoor Cycle and Power Bar (all three) group exercise classes to participants.

Successful applicants will also be involved in the development of training and assessment material for the group exercise module.

Job tasks and responsibilities

  • Deliver workshop content according to provided lesson plans
  • Follow up student’ progress and assist students
  • Answer students question and concerns
  • Participate in validation of course material
  • Complete administrative duties as required
  • Develop training material

Skills and experience (Required)

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Group Exercise Instructor
  • Minimum 12 months experience delivery of Freestyle, Indoor Cycle and Powerbar (or similar)

Qualifications (required)

  • TAE Certificate IV Training and Assessment
  • Certificate III in Fitness with Group Fitness Specialisation

Desired

  • Training and Assessment experience
  • Registration and Insurance for Freestyle Aerobics
  • Experience in developing training materials
