#Filex2017 Insights From A New Health Club Owner Aaron Ramsay
2017 was my first experience of Filex as a business owner, to view information from a different perspective as an owner instead of a personal trainer was really interesting.
It was fascinating (which I got from the keynote speaker Lisa McInnes-Smith) to see how the industry is spread between an old school thinking of hard sell and breaking prospect down emotionally before they join to have a specific niche and USP where you mentor members into long term lifestyle change within your businesses training philosophy.
My 3 take homes from Filex 2017 are:
- Find your niche/USP. Know who you are, why you do what you do and who your market is.
- Be Flexible. Be flexible with members by allowing them to change between membership types to suit them.
- There’s no secret answer, just make sure you’re doing as many different types of lead generation (print/sms/email/social media/google/website/lead boxes/referrals) to generate as many enquiries as possible.
