The Role
Our Personal Training / Operations Manager is known as; Fitness / Operations Manager and our Personal Trainers are coaches; we believe our fitness team are more than just personal trainers, they coach and inspire our members to achieve a balanced and healthy lifestyle. This role is responsible for the coach’s success, member experience, visitation, and satisfaction within your home club and across the group. You will be hands on with an outstanding ability to grow, onboard, train, mentor, and retain a high-performance team of coaches. You will be responsible for the creation, direction and delivery of quality retention programs and systems that support our people and performance metrics.
About You
- Previous experience in recruiting, interviewing, training, developing and motivating others
- 2+ years multi-site club/studio PT management in a leadership-based role
- Goal Driven with initiative to achieve business KPI’s pertaining specifically to visitation, member satisfaction and revenue as set out within the Anytime Fitness Budget
- A Team Player with the ability to motivate, inspire and connect with others
- Exceptional communication and service skills
- Strong organisational, time-management and attention to detail
- Passion for learning and ongoing development
- Constant searching for opportunities to grow, develop and perform beyond expectations
- Proven innovation and execution in a customer focused business
- Previous managerial use of software and technology in relation to managing a fitness business is desirable
- Social media savvy
- A passion for health and fitness
- Internally motivated/self-starter
- Prepared to travel for club visits/meetings and conferences
Key Role Responsibilities
- Recruitment, supervision, training & development of all coaches, as well as having the business acumen necessary to drive the business at a higher, more strategic level at all times
- People Management & Communication, experience in leading and managing medium to large sized teams
- Maintaining personal clients
- Multi-Site Group Leadership & Innovation
- Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including Business Owner, Club Managers and broader Anytime Fitness / Collective Wellness Group
- Club Operations and Compliance
- Develop and execute member experience strategies and processes throughout the entire member journey to maximise attendance/engagement/value and achieve business retention objectives
Qualifications & Certifications
- Fitness qualifications such as Cert IV – essential
- Diploma in Fitness or Bachelors’ degree (Exercise Science etc) is preferable
- Demonstrated record of achievements and success
- First Aid & CPR
- Working with Children Certificate
- Police Check
