The role:
This is a part-time position with the successful candidate ideally working 3 – 4 days over 5 days. The Vendor & Supply Manager will be responsible for negotiating agreements with high quality preferred suppliers, minimising the total expenditure and maximising the value received across CWG brands. Reporting to the Central Operations Manager, this strategic and hands on role entails the following:
- Vendor management to ensure cost effective solutions are provided which includes preferred agreement renewals, market analysis of each supplier division and sourcing new supplies
- Manage relationships with preferred suppliers and vendors to ensure continuous contractual agreements can be maximised
- Issue management, including debt, incidents and disputes
- Market analysis of each supplier division
- Research and compare suppliers and bulk buying opportunities to benefit the franchisee network
- Consult with key stakeholders (e.g., franchisees, franchise support staff, and management) in the development and implementation of a global procurement strategy
- In consultation with Legal, ensure commercial contracts are legally compliant
- Conduct full or partial tenders for major supply contracts.
- Contribute to the development of more efficient methods for the streamlining of purchase, payment and rebate processes as well as refining policies for Procurement and expenses
- Retail management which involves annual stocktake, wholesale portal management, manage quality control of new retail and props, warehouse management and bi-annual retail drops
- Drive procurement requirements of the team such as managing the travel portal and key account for supply of mobile phones
- Attend annual conferences to source sponsorship revenue from key suppliers, manage onsite tradeshows and source gift items
- Contract management which includes facilitating contracts to ensure key terms are negotiated and preferable for our business and manage the renewal processes
- Liaise with other shares services include Compliance and Property on key initiatives
Who you are:
Alongside experience in a similar role, you will have:
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- The ability to build strong relationships with a myriad of stakeholders
- The ability to create and implement new policies and processes for Procurement to enable value improvement
- Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal
- Sound presentation skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Teams and advanced Excel)
- Strong analytical and problem solving ability
- Sound aptitude for long term planning capability
- Effective time management and organisational skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines
- A collaborative approach and enjoy communicating with a wide range of people
- High personal and professional standard of work
- Franchise and/or fitness industry exposure advantageous but not essential
