Queensland Personal Trainer Helps Men Be Human
Business coaching and The Fitness Business Podcast has given me the opportunity to meet many amazing people. People who have achieved great results in their businesses and had great financial success. But what is truly deserving of praise and acknowledgement, is when someone goes beyond thinking about just their own business and their own material gains and goes on to extend their knowledge and passion to help others.
With the knowledge that in 2014, 75% of all Australian Suicides were men, a long term client and now friend, David Okeby developed MANWARD – a fitness and support group just for men.
He describes it as “a place, where if you want to, you can talk with other blokes who may be going through or have gone through something you’re facing. You’re not forced to say or contribute anything. Just being there with others maybe all the support you need.”
On the first Friday of each month, David hosts a free bootcamp and BBQ for men in the local area. He calls it “the ultimate Mancave, where you can come along and trust that a bunch of blokes are there to push themselves and become better men, husbands/partners and fathers.”
Dave, congratulations on this initiative. I hope Manward inspires other fitness business owners to follow their true passion, pursue what they believe in and make a difference to others.
