#IHRSA2015: Adam Bryant Shared 14 Interview Questions That CEO’s ask.
Adam Bryant is author and columnist for the New York Times Corner Office and shared the insights from his book ‘Quick and Nimble’ at #IHRSA2015. Here are some of the questions suggested we ask in an interview:
How weird are you?
What qualities do you like least/most about your mum and dad?
Do you feel lucky?
What is something you believe in that nearly no-one agrees with you on?
What is your natural strength or what strength are you in the top 5% of people in the world? This means, what do you do superbly well without effort and without training, because it is natural.
How do you define success for yourself?
If time, money and talent were not part of the equation, what would you do?
What is the biggest misperception people you work with have about you? Followed by what is the difference between perception and misperception?
If there were no humans on the planet, what animal would you be and why?
Describe your core DNA. This is your essential value you in ONE word.
Describe a moment when you were at your best.
You will go on a journey. There are five animals with you now: Lion, Rabbit, Cow, Horse and Monkey. Your must leave one behind. Which?
Then say each animal represents a quality:
- Lion-Courage
- Rabbit-Love
- Cow-Family
- Horse-Work
- Monkey-Friendship
How do you react to that symbolism?
Describe a scene from a movie you love. Then tell why you love that scene.
