15, 21, 28, 30, 42 Day Trials

Probably one of the best marketing strategies to generate more personal training clients is to get people involved in trials.  Whether you charge for them or not, here is what any trial must include:

  1. Two fitness evaluations
    1. You would do the first fitness evaluation when prospects first get started and the last one at the very end of the trial to check for progress.
    2. Try to always go above and beyond anytime you can. A good idea would be to give each participant one free “surprise” session on you half way through the trial just to check in.  This is a great time to do the “qualifying” part of the sales process.  Make sure to schedule your “surprise” session and your final fitness evaluation at the end of your first fitness evaluation.
  2. Unlimited Personal Training
    1. When scheduling your unlimited personal training, schedule the majority of sessions in the kind of a program that you would like to see your prospects purchase. Remember, whatever they experience the most is what they will end up purchasing.
  3. Nutritional Guidance
    1. Habit based psychology works great in these short-term programs. Pick one or two habits every week to for all your participants to follow.  Have some sort of a way to deliver this information.  Facebook Live has worked really well.
  4. Customized Programming
    1. The workouts that you will be taking your participants through must have a reason. Make sure to base your programming based on clients past, goals, and their movement patterns.
  5. Unlimited Support via Facebook and Emails
    1. Set up a private Facebook page and post relevant content. Stay in contact with your participants via email a minimum of once a week.

Here are some effective ways to market your trials:

  1. Facebook. The most obvious one of course.
  2. Email to your local chamber of commerce.
  3. Post inside the club.
  4. Have incentives for clients referring their friends to do the trials.
  5. Go local
    1. Business to business inform and invite people to take part
    2. Create flyers and door hangers and hit local residents
  6. Invite HR directors of local companies. It’s a great way for them to get to know you.
