2016 Fitness Australia Board Nominee: Daragh Murphy
As you are no doubt aware voting for positons on the Board of Directors has commenced and there are many fine candidates to choose from. I urge you to make use of your valuable vote and select the three candidates who most closely align with your own values and your vision for our industry.
I am one of the candidates who is seeking election and I have outlined briefly below why I would like to be elected. Should my views align with your own I would be honoured to receive your vote.
As a current member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors I believe I can bring a strong focus on governance and due diligence to the Board adding to the valuable work done already in this area.
My background in Marketing and Business development has been enhanced with a recently completed Masters of Marketing from Griffith University. These skills, I believe can be of value to our Board of Directors in ensuring the commercial sustainability of Fitness Australia.
There is no doubt that our industry and Fitness Australia face significant challenges. I firmly believe with the correct approach to strategic planning we can guide the organisation to a healthy position as our representative body.
The future I see for Fitness Australia builds on the very significant work already done by the organisation and blends this with the commercial focus required to ensure we have a strong voice to speak on behalf of our industry.
I believe in collaboration with all parts of our industry to ensure we are all working together to achieve significant goals for our individual members and the public we care for.
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, as a Business Member of Fitness Australia I understand the importance of meeting the needs of our Members and ensuring that their membership adds significant value to their business.
