Tip #2 – Time Of Day To Post On Facebook Boosts Viewing
When you post on your Facebook page, your posts are shown to the users who have already “liked” or “followed” your page and engage regularly.
There are some common trends regardless of what time zone you are based:
- The highest average for clicking a link in the posts occurs between 1 pm and 4 pm, peaking on Wednesdays at 3pm.
- BuzzSumo compared the number of posts with the average engagement of all posts and this revealed that the best time to post in the US is between 9 and 11pm.
If you are looking to have your material shared, post at 1pm. People seem to be in a sharing mood at this time, and while they may not go through your post in detail for themselves yet, they do share it.
You may get more clicks on a Wednesday and don’t discount Thursdays and Fridays for engagement. It was found that people often need 24 hours to warm up to your thoughts. This is evident as there is a 6-7% increase in engagement from Monday to Wednesday.
BIG TIP: In your Facebook Insights you can see the user behaviour of your own Facebook followers – to access it, click the Insights tab and then click Posts in the left menu. You’ll be able to see exactly when your audience is mostly likely to engage with your own Facebook page.
There is a plethora of information and data Facebook will tell you about how people use and interact on your page.
