Episode 4 of Season 1 dropped a couple of weeks ago and it was a fantastic chat with Ted Vickey from FitWell. If you don’t want to listen to the episode, you can read the questions I ask here . . .
Some of you will remember and others will have only seen the YouTube clips of fitness in the early 90’s. Back then g-strings or thong leotards were worn on the outside of your active wear! Fluffy white sox, Reebook Apple Pie shoes, neon track suits and the closest thing to tech were VHS workout tapes! Things were certainly simpler back then. Fortunately, the fitness industry has evolved.
Now we’re in the age of AI, where technology is transforming the way we run our fitness businesses.
We can now engage with clients anytime, operations have less friction, and there is the ability to personalize the member experience like never before—all thanks to AI tools like ChatGPT.
Our future and current clients and members can punch in some requests to ChatGPT and voila they have a program. Do they need our fit pro’s anymore? Do we?
What does the future hold for our fitness professionals in the world of AI.
In this episode, I’m chatting with Dr. Ted Vickey, the author of The Fitness Professionals Guide to ChatGPT. He’s going to show us exactly how this tool can take your business to the next level, and I’m excited for you to hear the practical strategies that could change how you operate.
Buckle up—it’s time to leave the 90s paper program cards behind and embrace the future of fitness!
We have a brand new segment called 3 Minutes of Wise Words. This segment is an expert sharing their wisdom. We’ll change up the theme from business operations/strategy to personal well-being/productivity. Coming from Texas today we have Brian Weaver from Ready For My Moment.

This show is all about tech and Ai! After Ted I have invited Clint from Max Members to come along and share with you the possibilities of Ai to help turn prospects into members. The successes Clint has in his own club will blow your mind, so straight after Ted will be Clint!
Then in In The Trenches with REXers, I have organised Jason the brand manager from Elevate Fitness in Syracuse New York to share how he uses AI every day for marketing and brand development. You’re gonna love what he shares!
Today I am wearing my Hall of Fame MyZone merch. You cannot be given this or buy this, you earn it from using Myzone! Check out myzone.org If you’d like me to wear your merch during an interview, contact me and I will happily be your social influencer!
The guest on our next episode . . . hmmm . . . Stay tuned to find out more.
It is great to have Dr Ted Vickery with us today to discuss all things ChatGPT and fitness Pros so for fun I asked ChatGPT to write my introduction for Ted and here’s what it said:
Dr. Ted Vickey is a leading expert in the fitness industry, specializing in the integration of technology and artificial intelligence. He’s the author of The Fitness Professionals Guide to ChatGPT, helping fitness professionals streamline operations, engage clients, and stay ahead in a tech-driven world.
I then changed the prompt to say exactly the same in the voice of Gordon Ramsay for our English listeners:
Dr. Ted Vickery—now here’s a bloke who knows his stuff! He’s a top expert in the fitness industry, but what really sets him apart is how he’s bringing tech and AI to the forefront. This guy’s written The Fitness Professionals Guide to ChatGPT, and it’s not just some fluff—it’s helping fitness pros get their act together, streamline operations, engage with clients, and keep ahead in a world that’s all about tech. Absolutely brilliant!
But as 59% of our FBP Community are from the US, staying politically neutral I asked to reword it the voice of the Rock:
Let me tell you something about Dr. Ted Vickery—this guy is a powerhouse in the fitness industry. He’s the go-to expert when it comes to integrating technology and AI into fitness. He wrote The Fitness Professionals Guide to ChatGPT, and it’s a game changer. He’s helping fitness pros streamline their businesses, engage clients like never before, and stay on top in this fast-paced, tech-driven world. Dr. Vickery’s bringing the heat!
