JT Worked Out In Health Clubs, Gyms, Studios and Crossfit Boxes Across The Globe
In 2014, a colleague of mine Casey Conrad whom I love had a heart to heart with me! I respect her so much for her knowledge (in and out of the industry) and what she has achieved. I also respect her for her candor. If there was a “No Bull Shit” Award to a Global Fitness Leader, Casey would win it every year. Don’t believe me – listen to her interview on show 31 of The Fitness Business Podcast – click here
Anyway, on the opening of IHRSA 2014 she said “JT you are fat! Do something about it!”
Like everyone else in the world (outside of the fitness industry) I blamed medication, work, new additions to the family and anything or anybody else I could think of! The reality was the buck stopped with me!
This insult created enough pain for me to act – thank you Casey!
I came back to Australia and enlisted the help of Darren from Crossfit Ignite. I knew he knew his stuff and would write a good program but more importantly I knew he was a good fit for me. He was a mix between a tough PT (not an arsehole PT) and a coach. I placed 100% confidence in him.
He writes me a program on Evernote, I complete it each week and then gives me feedback and updates my program for next week. He takes into account where I travel and when I travel.
This accountability made me train in 2015 in over 26 places around the globe. Check out this video montage of some of the places I worked out in . . .
I really believe the value in me as a business coach is the variety of gyms, studios, health clubs and even crossfit boxes I visit.
I learn from each business how to do business and then share my experiences with my clients and the members of the Industry Leaders Roundtable.
