And please message me if you’d like to be featured in The Implementer Series.

So let’s move to 8 reasons why you need to be using video in your marketing.

1. Video Boosts Conversions and Sales

Adding a product video on your landing page can increase conversions by 80%.

Studies show that 74% of users who watched an explainer-video about a product subsequently bought it. You have so many options available to you in your business to craft an explainer video.

The effectiveness of video is not that surprising, is it? Vision is our most dominant sense and we know from research that pictures can boost engagement massively, so imagine what moving pictures can do to your business.

By the way, 57% of consumers say that videos gave them more confidence to purchase online.

2. Video Is Rocking Email Campaigns

When you’re creating videos already, make sure you to incorporate them into your email marketing campaigns. An introductory email that includes a video receives an increase click-through rate by 96%! That’s a great way to stand out from competition and get your message across.

3. Video Builds Trust

You know trust is the foundation of conversions and sales.  The whole concept of content marketing is based on trust and creating long-term relationships.

Stop selling and let the people come to you by providing them interesting and useful information through video.

Video content is likely to engage and ignite emotions and this creates trust and sales.

4. Google Loves Videos

Videos allow you to increase the time spent by visitors on your site. Thus, longer exposure builds trust and signals search engines that your site has good content. Moovly gives us whopping statistics: You’re 53 times more likely show up first on Google if you have a video embedded on your website. Since Google now owns YouTube, there has been a significant increase on how much videos affect your search engine rank.

Make sure to optimize your videos on Youtube for SEO. Write interesting titles and descriptions. Add a link back to your website, products, and services.

We have just started working with You Tube guru wh is awesome!! If you would like her details pop ‘Guru’ in the comments and I’ll connect you.

5. Video Appeals to Mobile Users

Video and mobile go hand in hand. 90% of consumers watch videos on their mobile. From Q3 of 2013, mobile video views have grown more than 233 percent. YouTube reports mobile video consumption rises 100% every year. Since people like to watch videos on the go, and a number of smartphone users is growing, your video audience keeps getting bigger and bigger.

6. Video Marketing Can Explain Everything

98% of users say they’ve watched an explainer video to learn more about a product or service. That is why 45% of businesses who use video marketing said that they have an explainer video on their home page. Of those businesses, 83% said that their home page explainer video was effective.

7. Video Engages Even the Laziest Buyers

Today’s life is too busy to have time to read long product descriptions or dig deep into services. The modern customer wants to see the product in action. This is one of the most important driving forces of video advertising.

8. Video Encourages Social Shares

76% of users say they would share a branded video with their friends if it was entertaining. So create fun entertaining videos to encourage social shares. Emotions are not exactly ROI but social shares can increase traffic to your site, and you can take it from there.

83% of businesses say that video provides good return on investment.

Video advertising is becoming more and more affordable and widespread because advanced technologies and it’s easy to spread across the community.

The challenge with any marketing is the same. So making marketing videos for your business requires creativity and knowledge of human psychology. The cocktail of these components makes it possible to create real miracles of advertising at minimal cost.

Emotionally charged, creative video advertising can be spread in a matter of days, getting millions of views.

Remember though, your videos don’t have to be perfect. It’s the content that matters! Research shows it doesn’t matter the quality of the video if the content is excellent.  It’s fair to say that video is like pizza – when it’s bad, it’s still pretty good!

So what do you think?

Have I convinced you to start video marketing?  If you think someone you know needs to be convinced on video marketing, then pop their name in the comments now.  I am very grateful when you share the show, so thank you in advance for tagging anyone.

Those 8 reasons again:

  1. Video Boosts Conversions and Sales
  2. Video Is Rocking Email Campaigns
  3. Video Builds Trust
  4. Google Loves Videos
  5. Video Appeals to Mobile Users
  6. Video Marketing Can Explain Everything
  7. Video Engages Even the Laziest Buyers
  8. Video Encourages Social Shares

Which of these encourages you to start video marketing? Pop the number in the comments.

And remember I want to give you a leg up in your video confidence.  I want to feature you in the new Implementer Series.  If you have used any idea from JTInTheRaw, message me and I want to interview you in our new series. Message me!

Hey Justin JT great Video. As you know I’ve been teaching video marketing since 2009 and it’s great to see more accepting it. What your viewers need to know is that Facebook is looking to be a more or a search engine for videos so they compete more with YouTube. So when you put up videos on FB it is going to be more important to keyword them just as on YT. Plus personalised video emails are one of the most powerful tools you can use. Last week I sent out 3 video email follow ups and landed 3 X $10K+ clients. If the clubs or studios create a well designed video sales funnel they will create relationships with the prospects even before they come in to the club and have a jumpstart on the competition.. Every fitness website MUST have a video on the front page… Yes Eugene from Gym Click would be the ones to turn to for this. I hope you don’t mind me adding my bit as this is what I’ve lived and breathed for 10 years. 🙂

    • Chantal Brodrick on January 12, 2018 at 16:30

Steve did you happen to catch the interview I did with Michael Stelzner where we talk about Facebook Watch ( as you say above – compete with You Tube) here’s the link http://fitnessbusinesspodcast.com/138-michael-stelzner-social-media-marketing-advice-for-fitness-professionals/

    • Steve Brossman on January 13, 2018 at 06:45

No I didn’t Chantal but Michael is always on the pulse. His video post yesterday about the huge changes to Facebook that affects all of us if they come through was watched by 75000.

    • Eugene Downing on January 13, 2018 at 08:27

Thank you for the recommendation Steve .

Both you, and Justin have seen Gym Click Media in action and you know we take pride in our work.

I agree with JT’s comments referencing the fact that it’s never been easier to start using video marketing for business.

Technology has advanced exponentially and what use to cost hundreds of thousands of $$$ to produce now cost fraction of it, making it more accessible than ever…..BUT it does not mean cheaper is better…

Saying that, there are some common production pitfalls that business owners can easily avoid should they know what to look for

Should anyone require assistance, just do it – reach out! Happy to help!

Whilst we’re on the topic of helping…

Tip – Segment your email database.

The ‘Power Players’ in email marketing have segmented email data bases and run personalized video emails through the database.

      Aim for…

      ?Good lighting
      ?Excellent Audio
      ?Evergreen Content
      ?Scripting is key
      ? Strong Call To Action
      ?Have a WINNING conversion strategy

Import that SAME email list into FB and run a similar (but different) ad against non-converting email clients in your database.

      *Remember

Having a great VIDEO message, great conversion strategy and omnipresence counts!
