Nathan Gremmo Community Fund: Jersey Day 2nd September 2016
I would like to let you know about Jersey Day.
Jersey Day has been inspired by the story of Nathan Gremmo who was tragically lost in an accident in 2015. Nathan’s family chose to give the gift of life to others to honour the legacy of Nathan’s generous personality.
On Friday September 2, 2016 we are asking schools and workplaces across Australia to allow students and employees to wear their favourite sporting jersey to school or work to show their support of the DonateLife network and begin the conversation with their friends and families about Organ Donation.
This campaign is all about awareness – there is no requirement to raise funds. Our intention is to fill social media with positive images and stories that show support for this cause. If you don’t have a sporting jersey or singlet it is all good – simply wear a colourful shirt to show your support. Jersey Day is merely a fulcrum to begin the conversation with your friends and family about the DonateLife message.
Our family has been impacted by the DonateLife message in the cruellest of circumstances. We can only imagine that if our circumstances were reversed and one of our children was waiting on a life-saving organ transplant that we would move heaven and earth to make it happen.
We’re sure you would do the same.
Please visit jerseyday.com.au for more information about Jersey Day, to download a Jersey Day Poster and to learn how you can help to save a life.
Regards,
RICHARD GREMMO
