Personal Trainer Gets Herself a Helicopter
Last week we conducted FitnessBiz Brunch in 3 cities across Australia. The presentation was focussed on educating and motivating business owners to step out of their business and work on their business..
When we are head down, bum up and working in the business, we cannot generally #GROW our business as we are too busy playing ‘Whack-A-Mole.’
The concept I shared was having the discipline to step out of the business for an hour a week, 2 hours a month, 4 hours a quarter and for a day annually.
Of course at the end of my presentation I did my usual ‘Nike Challenge” where I ask people to do ‘just do it.’ And to my excitement 2 days after FitnessBiz Brunch in Adelaide, here is a copy of an email I received . . .
“Thanks for yesterday's Fitness Biz Brunch.
Just wanted to let you know that today I've scheduled into my calendar to have ‘Agenda 2’ time bi-monthly and also downloaded the PT in 60sec - better yet have read through number 2 on communication planning and have confirmed that I'm on track.
I'm also in the process of contacting my potential helicopter crew to see if they would like to 'fly with me' once a quarter over a Sunday brunch. Fingers crossed they are up for it!
Every Monday I send out birthday cards for the upcoming week, I schedule myself time to call/sms one client a week (at least) to contact and chat with about anything unrelated to training.
I am currently in the process of reviewing my client's goals and sending them personalised letters of achievement & tips for further growth (incl continuing their current training with enerG+).
Thanks again.”
Thank you Gen from enerG+!
The common objection I get from people is that they don’t have time or when I am not face to face with clients, I’m not making any money. Some back ground is that Gen is a sole personal trainer, so if anyone could sue that objection Gen could. She chooses not to as she has goals for her business and understands how to #GROW it.
Well done Gen!
