Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Inspire, motivate, and guide staff towards achieving common goals. Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Facility Management: Ensure the maintenance and operation of gym equipment and facilities, maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning environment.
  • Customer Service: Build and maintain strong relationships with members, enhancing their experience. Address feedback and complaints professionally.
  • Sales & Marketing: Develop and implement sales strategies to attract new members. Promote gym and member experiences effectively.
  • Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and cost management to maintain profitability. Analyse membership data and financial reports to inform strategic decisions.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage projects such as new programs or facility upgrades, ensuring timelines are met. Handle day-to-day operations with efficiency.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all activities and operations comply with safety standards and regulations.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Management: Proven ability in team leadership, decision-making, conflict resolution, and delegation. Ability to coach and inspire staff.
  • Operational: Experience in facility management and project management.
  • Customer Service: Strong member engagement and communication skills. Proficiency in handling feedback and complaints.
  • Sales & Marketing: Experience in developing sales strategies, marketing campaigns, and membership promotions.
  • Financial Management: Understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, and cost management.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with gym management software and CRM systems (Mindbody preferred).
  • Health, Fitness, Sports Knowledge: Understanding of current trends and industry standards.

Ideal Candidate Characteristics:

  • 5+ years in the fitness and/or sporting industry
  • 5+ years managing a team
  • Preferred experience with Mindbody CRM
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Passionate about sports and fitness and performance

The Details:

  • Roster: Monday to Friday, 8:30AM-5:00PM
  • Remuneration: $80k-$90k base salary + superannuation (OTE $120k)
