Position Vacant For A Mobile Personal Trainer At Just In Time PT Southbank VIC
This is a unique opportunity to work up to 25-35 hours of contact mobile Personal Training a week with the scope of workplace health hours along with many other unique avenues for growth and development. Note that we are the only Personal Training business in Melbourne that strictly employs only fully qualified University degree qualified trainers – as such we stand well above the rest of the PT and fitness industry.
I have purposefully made a lengthy 12 minute video that will encompass all that I am about and I initially made this for my first full-time trainer so rather than make a new one (as much of it focuses on ‘my first’ PT – the sentiment is still the same for the next PT to gain this position – Click here for a full background on myself, my expectations and requirements.
Please note that if you are not prepared to watch the video in its entirety and you don’t have an initial affinity, excitement or share the same passion, please don’t apply. On last advert I had many outstanding applicants and remember that I only need 1 person that meets what I am looking for – so if you are not going to stand out from the rest, then this is not the job for you. I will say that the key is your passion, initiative, integrity and desire to work hard for a career and not ‘just another job’ – if you lack these traits, simply save yourself the trouble.
I started Just In Time Personal Training in October 2012 and as I approach 4 years after starting on my own for the first 15-18 months, I now have five devoted fellow University degree qualified trainers working with me and thriving. So you will be joining a fantastic team.
The Role:
- Must have completed a 3-4 year Tertiary/University Degree in an Exercise or Sports Science related course (Not a certificate 3 or 4 course).
- Must have had 2+ years’ experience in a full-time or part-time capacity
- Must be passionate about helping people improve their whole health, fitness and well-being – not just hard workouts!
This is a unique opportunity to work under one of Melbourne’s better and longest serving Personal Trainers who will help you not only develop and be the best PT that you can be but is actually intent on helping you grow as a person, future manager at Just In Time and/or helping you develop your own business in the future.
I previously worked as a Personal Training Operations Manager of a well-established nation-wide workplace health and PT company for 15 years whereby I was in charge of all PT staff interviewing (hiring), training, development and firing. I have the most vigorous interview process that I am aware of in Melbourne and now as my very own business and my name and brand at stake, this is now even more thorough. I hope that this will scare away those not up to the challenge and for those keen to impress and have the confidence and ability to be enthused to join my team at a very exciting time and period of rapid growth..
The exciting role will entail much apartment gym clientele in and around the CBD and Southbank (between 50-80%) and travelling to other clients less than 20kms (<25min) from the CBD. The beauty of this is that you can work your own hours and set your own schedule and be paid at the highest rate in Melbourne that I am aware of with no rental requirement or established clientele necessary. You will be provided with all equipment to take to your clients (a home-kit valued at over $1500).
Essential:
- You must be an Australian resident and possess and Australian Citizenship as I am searching for someone to take up this role for 3-5 years+ and a keenness to develop under my guidance.
- You must have your own car and Australian driver’s license and employment will be conditional on you not losing your license in your tenure. The main gist of this role is that you will be providing a ‘mobile’ Personal Training service with no fixed address or studio.
- You must have passion for training each and every client with their best interests at heart and be solely focussed on exceeding their needs and expectations with an emphasis on:
- lifestyle balance
- long-term behaviour change
- health, posture, fitness, well-being and an overall holistic approach.
If you have a bootcamp or CrossFit approach or background – please do not apply as that is as far from ‘personal’ as you can be.
I have no immediate urgency to rush this decision and work would commence as of mid-late September, 2016 and will start with 5-10 hours and build as you develop and the business continues to grow and expand rapidly as it is.
If this excites you and you would like to get more of a background on myself please check out the video.
Also, have an extensive look over my website and if you think that this position is for you, let’s chat and send me your resume as a first port of call!
Please feel free to apply at any time over the coming years as I am always keen to add the right people to our team.
