Position Vacant For A Personal Trainer/Group Fitness Trainer at Fitstop Northcote
We are looking for a passionate coach to join our Fitstop Northcote team ?
We are passionate about the sessions we run, the people who train with us and the lives we impact.
We are not a place, we are a community.
For this reason we are looking for a coach that wants to be part of our community and who is generally passionate about helping people in their health and fitness journey.
At Fitstop Northcote we don’t have a “type” of member, we just have an incredibly diverse bunch of people turning up to work at being their best self and having fun with others whilst they do that.
So the coach we are looking for also needs to be diverse. They will need to be able to communicate, coach and nurture many personality types and abilities.
This coach will need to be passionate about what they teach, be cert 3 & 4 qualified in Group training and Personal Training (as a minimum), practice what they preach (train regularly for themselves) have tried at least a couple of Fitstop sessions to understand what we do & believe in our formula.
The position we are offering is a casual role of around 10-15 hours per week.
We are flexible in the class times we are offering and open to working into a schedule that suits both employees and employers.
Some of the duties this role will involve are running world class sessions in 1 hour blocks, cleaning duties, opening and or closing the gym, welcoming members, remembering names, being able to think on the spot if members have injuries or considerations and need alternatives.
Qualifications and Experience
You will require the following skills:
- Certificate III and IV in fitness (minimum)
- Up to date First Aid/CPR
- Excellent customer service skills
- A great communicator, assertive, clear voice & tone to instruct sessions
- Experience in Personal Training (either training others or being coached)
- Demonstrates a growth mindset as opposed to a fixed mindset
- Can work well as part of a team but can also show initiative when working alone
