Snap Fitness has celebrated the start of 2025 with the opening of its 350th club at Kiama in New South Wales. The milestone opening also saw club memberships surpass 300,000 across the APAC region.

CEO of Lift Brands Asia Pacific, Chris Caldwell, said the milestone was a great start to 2025, which is set to be a busy year for Snap Fitness.

“Marking our 350th APAC opening is an exciting milestone for Snap Fitness as it showcases the tremendous growth the brand has experienced in recent years,” Mr Caldwell said.

“Last year we recorded 67 new franchise sales across Australia and New Zealand and experienced a record number of new franchise enquiries. We also opened 23 clubs – 17 in Australia and New Zealand and 6 in Asia.

“We are expecting momentum to continue in 2025 as we open more clubs and secure new territories, including our first entry into the Cairns market next month.”

“The Cairns market is an exciting growth area for Snap Fitness – it’s experiencing strong population growth as well as the development of new housing corridors. This mix means we will be able to establish a strong presence right across the region.

The fitness sector is only expected to continue to grow, with an anticipated annual growth rate of 10.7%1 by 2027, fuelled by consumers seeking affordable fitness options.

“Increased demand from consumers seeking an affordable and accessible fitness option has a flow-on effect with the increased brand awareness making Snap Fitness an attractive investment for potential franchisees,” Mr Caldwell said.

“With a strong brand presence and a robust franchise system, Snap Fitness is a fantastic opportunity for savvy business owners to be part of a network that offers full support, marketing and training every step of the way.

“We are proud of the work our franchise development and operations teams have been doing in recent years to spearhead our growth – ensuring our clubs are successful from the first day is very important to us.”

This year, Snap Fitness is gearing up for another busy year with a strong pipeline of new clubs set to open including 25 in Australia and New Zealand region and 11 across Asia.

Additionally, Snap Fitness is prioritising the modernisation of existing clubs with plans to revamp 52 locations with an upgraded member experience. A new monthly mystery shopper program aimed at ensuring optimal operational performance will also improve member experience and aid franchisees and team member training.
