✔️Wellbeing is paramount to not getting to burnout

  7. Di Lauder on June 29, 2018 at 08:12

Rest restore and recharge then you will be at the quality work standard. I think auto reply smart saying unwell and will be back soon

Take the time out, you recover quicker and you don’t
pass it on to everyone else.

Great advice….physical sickness can come from mental burnout. Take time out and come back better instead of being half arsed. Everyone understands being sick now n then.

It’s ok to be needing time out to get well. I agree not ideal to come to work sick and frankly useless. Also not great for ole modelling to kids etc

I’m torn mate as feel so guilty not physically going into work and even though I should actually ‘rest’ I’m constantly doing work from home responding to emails, etc…

  20. Andrew Ng on June 29, 2018 at 09:28

This has actually been so helpful JT as I’m going through something at the moment and you’ve brought another perspective to it. ??

Just had the normal flu – obviously not as bad as the man flu ? – & carried on like you have JT. Great reflection will do this next time!

when sick just rest, take a break and recharge the batteries, take care of yourself!!! I agree that often at work we feel guilty in taking time off to look after ourselves, we feel judged (at least that’s how I feel, and I keep on pushing through even if I’m totally run down)……… but in the long run this is detrimental: when I’m too tired or sick I become the worst version of myself, always “sad”, negative, I forget things, communication with people is slowed down, I missed messages, email, I struggle in following up with people, I cannot think clearly 🙁
