Media Release: Australian Institute of Fitness Announces New Partnerships
Following its recent rebrand, Australia’s largest and longest established fitness training organisation, the Australian Institute of Fitness (AIF), proudly announces a range of new industry partnerships designed to bolster functional know-how, practical resources and career readiness for graduates looking to set themselves apart.
Forming part of a broader upgrade to AIF’s flagship Master Trainer Program™ which now offers new and expanded specialisations, the partnership slate includes industry integrations with the Functional Training Institute (FTI), personal health platform ph360, fitness software service provider goXpro, and fitness industry management app Gyymi.
Functional Training Institute (FTI) – boosting sought-after functional training skills in kettlebells and suspension.
After working alongside each other for many years, AIF and the Functional Training Institute (FTI) have partnered to incorporate FTI’s functional training methodology into AIF’s leading Master Trainer Program™ – the most well-known Personal Training Qualification in Australia.
The partnership sees FTI’s tried and tested functional training methods become an integral part of AIF’s Industry Skills Workshop – providing students with in-demand technical training in kettlebells and suspension that they can deploy as soon as they enter the fitness industry. The FTI is also offering AIF students and graduates a 10% saving on all FTI courses as part of their partnership agreement.
AIF’s Head of Operations, Kim Horner, said: “The fitness landscape is continually shifting and, as it does, so too do clients’ expectations of what they want from personal trainers. Accordingly, AIF continues to evolve its courses to meet changing market conditions. Today, functional training has become an incredibly in-demand offering for many gym and PT businesses and, as such, we’re thrilled to partner with FTI to provide our students with greater skills and practical experience in this evolving area of fitness.”
Ph360 – upskilling and resourcing to bolster client personalisation
The AIF has also partnered with epigenetics-based lifestyle program ph360 to help its graduates further stamp their mark on the personal training market. The partnership enables AIF Master Trainer students to upskill and resource in the critical field of personal health through the ph360 Mastery Series program.
The ph360 Mastery Series provides personal trainers with professional development and assessment technology to non-invasively identify and understand each client’s unique genetic ‘phenotype’. These insights allow the trainer to provide their clients with personalised nutrition, exercise and mindset support via an interactive artificial intelligence platform. Commenting on the partnership, AIF’s Master Trainer Coach, Brodie Hicks, said: “No two clients are the same, so why approach Personal Training as if they are? Ph360 is the first of its kind to truly provide individualised coaching by assessing the genes in conjunction with the environment and lifestyle of a client in order to build their unique profile. The AIF, in partnership with ph360, will introduce our graduates to the world of personalised coaching and the amazing benefits of utilising an individualised approach when working with clients.
The partnership also allows AIF students, graduates, members and staff to save up to 60% off RRP for the ph360 Mastery Series Program.
goXpro – instilling practical know-how to streamline client and business management
Australian Institute of Fitness students are also set to benefit from enhanced practical skills in client and business management, thanks to AIF’s new partnership with fitness software provider goXpro. The partnership sees goXpro’s PT-specific payment, training and client management software integrated into AIF’s esteemed Master Trainer Program.
By learning goXpro features such as client bookings, payment management and program building during their studies, AIF Master Trainer graduates will be fully equipped with the day-to-day skills required to effectively operate a fitness business, making them more ‘industry ready’ and a cut above their peers.
As the training organisation that produces the largest number of qualified personal trainers and fitness professionals across Australia every year, AIF’s partnership with goXpro reflects a natural synergy, said Kim Horner. “We are excited to welcome goXpro on board as a valued partner. We train and qualify thousands of personal trainers every year, but our relationship with graduates doesn’t end upon their course completion. We are determined to provide not only the industry’s best educational offering, but also the practical tools needed to manage a fitness business from day one. By having know-how in goXpro – the best PT-specific software on the market – AIF Master Trainer graduates will be optimally positioned to hit the ground running and maximise success,” Horner said.
Jason Thomas, General Manager at goXpro, added: “The need for software that enables fitness professionals to operate in-club and remotely has never been more apparent. At goXpro, our goal is to provide our clients with a complete coaching and fitness business solution, in one mobile platform. The AIF’s forward-thinking culture and genuine desire to help their students thrive has led them to identify technology as a key pillar in personal training success. Consequently, we are incredibly excited to partner with the AIF to help them provide students with practical experience in real-world personal training technology.”
The partnership also sees AIF students benefit from complementary goXpro subscriptions during their studies, with an additional 10% discount on offer for ongoing subscription post-graduation.
Gyymi – utilising tech innovation to expand career and business opportunities
In line with its commitment to driving innovation that makes a lasting difference to its graduates, AIF has also partnered with cutting-edge fitness business app Gyymi. The partnership sees AIF Master Trainer students receive hands-on experience using the Gyymi app, helping them to develop confidence and practical skills that can be utilised to expand professional opportunities in the workforce.
The Gyymi app provides the fitness industry with a unique fitness management system that connects personal trainers to flexible and affordable gym space. Personal trainers gain the flexibility to expand potential clientele as they are free agents untied to one gym. As a result, they become more empowered to control their business, manage clients and maximise income.
Kim Horner said of the AIF-Gyymi partnership: “The landscape of Personal Training is about to change forever, thanks to ground-breaking innovations from companies like Gyymi. The AIF is proud to partner with Gyymi to provide our graduates with hands-on experience utilising an app that we’re confident will change the Personal Training industry as we know it.” The AIF is set to announce an additional raft of strategic industry partnerships in the coming weeks and months.
