Why You Should Vote For Me As a Fitness Australia Director: Michael Jordan
The nominations are out for the Fitness Australia Board of Directors this year and I would really appreciate your vote.
For the last 7 years, through my role with CFM and MYZONE I have been fortunate enough to travel around Australia visiting all types of clubs from independents, franchises, PT studios, community centers and corporate chains. For the last 5 years I have also run my own independent club in regional QLD.
I have met some great people and seen the amazing progress we are making as individual businesses and as a collective group, despite many challenges along the way.
One key observation I have made is that those business owners who are connected with key industry bodies and other like-minded club owners, usually are much better equipped to overcome challenges and maximize opportunities within the industry.
As a result, my key objective, if voted on to the board, would be to help strengthen the connection between all fitness business models, particularly the independent fitness network who’s opinions are so important but difficult to determine due to the diversity of clubs and locations. By coming together we can all contribute our ideas and feedback on how to improve the industry and together decide what we need to prioritize. At the same time ensuring all groups are continuing to learn and progress their own businesses through the association with Fitness Australia and the club network.
Fitness Australia, has been working extremely hard to find ways to enhance industry standards, connect with government and allied health groups and improve our businesses performance. This progress will be enhanced if we collectively work together to help Fitness Australia achieve our group objectives and goals for the industry.
We are 1300+ fitness businesses strong. We support hundreds of thousand of Australians with their health and fitness journey. If we work together we will be able to support so many more.
