Strange? Why Hasn’t the Phone Rung? Here’s Why!
Could there be anything more boring than auditing your business? Seriously, checking if everything is working the way it should. But not doing this boring task is costing you thousands!
Here’s the better question, what is not auditing your business costing you?
In the last 30 days alone, with clients we work with (that is not in our brief), we uncovered:
- Wrong contact numbers on websites
- Website enquiries not entering the CRM (they’re just emails
- Phones ringing out because the answering service was accidentally disconnected
- Outdated voice messages (Easter was last month…)
- Websites full of 404 errors (Google hates that)
- Members actively training… but still on suspension in the CRM
- Members with billing set to $0 and no notes explaining why
And that’s just 30 days. If we go back to the start of the year, that list is five times longer.
This isn’t about systems failing. It’s about no one checking the systems.
You must audit your CRM at least annually. Because right now, you could be losing hundreds, if not thousands, every month.
You must check your communication systems weekly or at the very least, have someone ask: “Why hasn’t the phone rang in three days?” or “Weird how we haven’t received any emails for a few days.”
You must be reviewing your website performance. Google Search Console is no longer optional.
Weekly Challenge:
Pick an aspect of your business and do an audit. Find the leaks and fix the leaks.
If enquiries are down, phones are quiet, DMs are slow, or revenue is flat, there is always a reason. And right now, it could be hiding in something you haven’t checked.
